Have read recently that Sony music are releasing the full philles catalogue and some are being remastered.First release is "A Christmas gift for you"at the end of this month, hope they remaster this in stereo will be a good seller especially if its not the mushy mono releases that have been circulating the world in the last 20 years. Please Sony "STEREO".
By the way, they are also going to release some never released recording too and I know their are still some Ronettes unreleased recordings out there so maybe we are in for a treat.Did any one know the Crystals also recorded "Im' a woman in love"but only the Ronettes version has ever been released on rare masters.

I disagree about the STEREO! The Spector stuff was produced with the intention of being heard in MONO. All the stereo releases out there are what I call "fake stereo" and are not mixed properly to sound like real stereo.

Releases in stereo.

Yes wicked I agree in one sense but their were some great well remastered stereo releases in the early 70s and 80s.I had a double sided cassette with the Ronettes and Crystals greatest hits ,the Ronettes album had superb stereo separation the vocals Ronnies lead and the backing vocals were so clear and you couldn't hear the orchestra. So lets hope that Legacy (who I have heard are great at this) will be remastering them for Sony will do a super job.
